Tariq Mustafa is a mechanical engineer with subsequent specialization in nuclear engineering and space technology. He graduated from London University with first class honours while also doing an engineering apprenticeship at the famous Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, UK. Subsequently, he worked and did post graduate specialization at the Atomic Energy establishment at Harwell, Calder Hall in UK, the US Atomic Energy Commission at Oakridge, NASA at Wallops Island, and the French Aerospace Industry. He led the team responsible for setting up Pakistan's rocket and space research program.
Later on he become a senior ranking Government Official of Pakistan where he held the coveted posts of Secretary of Defence, Science & Technology, Petroleum Natural Resources, Public Sector Industry and Privatisation. During his 36 year career he has widely travelled to over 50 countries. He has been a prominent speaker on the subject of Science, Technology and Engineering in many of the 50 countries and has worked closely with the Nobel Laureate in Physics, Professor Abdus-Salam. He is currently the President of Pakistan’s National Paralympics Committee and a Vice-President of the Asian Paralympics Committee. He has been a “Searcher” all his life, particularly on the subject of Man’s Place in the Universe and connection between Reason and Revelation. He has been invited to speak internationally on Reason and Revelation on TV, radio, to various Church groups, the Scientific Society of Pakistan, the Muslim Education forum of UK, various Islamic science conferences, and the Asian Study Group.
